The carp in the lake were fed on pellets in the early years. The lake was dug from scratch in 2017-2018 and it didn’t have sufficient natural food sources to support the carp population. The pellets helped the fish thrive.
The carp still feed very well on pellets so adding them in any baiting scenario will usually increase the anglers’ chance of success. However, the fish’s preferences have diversified and they respond very well to boilies, particles and seeds.
The following baits are allowed: standard and soluble boilies, pellets, groundbaits, prepared seeds, particles and nuts. All multiple baits such as seeds, nuts, peas and beans must be well soaked and well cooked. Uncooked seeds, particles and nuts are not allowed.
To maintain water quality and protect the fish, all baits must be used in moderation and some bait restrictions can be imposed if necessary. Please contact the bailiffs for further details.
